Huskies Up Close & Personal: Meet Our Adoptable Dogs
Huskies Up Close & Personal
Our sled dogs are the furry heart of our dog yard—and the reason we get to share dogsledding with guests throughout the year.
After years of doing what they love and bringing joy to so many people, some of our rock star athletes are ready for their next chapter.
We’ve shared more about our adoption process before, which you can read here: Good Times Sled Dog Adoption
This time around, we wanted let the adoptable dogs speak for themselves.
Beginnings
It usually starts with a look… or a nose boop.
And then someone says it:
“Oh my gosh, I want to bring that one home.”
And here’s the good news—for some of them, you can.
Meet Our Adoptable Dogs
Meet Clyde, Clark, Arnold, Lyra, Hercules, Prince, Bert, Venus, Leif, Nock, and Quiver! Just a few of our lovable pups ready to start their next adventure with you.
Wild at Heart, Ready for Home
While our huskies are all rock star athletes, they each approach this next phase a little differently.
Some are still full of energy—ready for long hikes, bike rides, or river adventures.
Others would be happy with daily walks and a spot on the couch.
Some are incredibly cuddly.
Others are a little more independent.
Some have had sleepovers with our guides.
Others have never been in a car.
They’ve spent their lives doing what they love—now they’re ready to explore the next chapter.
What This Looks Like Beyond the Kennel
Not all of our huskies have practice as “house dogs.” There’s usually an adjustment period—but they figure it out.
Some of the big milestones:
- First car ride
- Walking on leash—instead of pulling!
- Sleeping inside
- Doors
- Stairs
- Mirrors
They’re hard-working, used to structure, and incredibly social—but like anything new, it takes a little time.
And it for some reason it doesn’t work out, our huskies always have a home with us!

Not Quite Ready? Come Meet Them Anyway.

If you’re feeling the pull (it happens), but you’re not quite ready for the full commitment—summer dogsledding and kennel tours are a great way to meet the team.
You’ll get to spend time with the dogs, see how they train in the off-season, and yes—there are plenty of nose boops and muddy paws involved.
